Here’s a set of images of the Samsung Galaxy S that was released nearly two weeks ago. The Galaxy S is currently the best Android device out there.
With this post, we are also testing the possibility to run our own galleries outside this host. I’ve used SmugMug for personal hosting for a long time now, and I’m really happy with their service. Please leave a comment, tweet, or email if you don’t think moving images to SmugMug is a good thing.

Some really interesting phones we have there. Personally I’m excited about the HTC Gold, and the Nokia E7. Let’s see how this list turns out in the end :) Happy waiting!
Renesas Electronics Corporation, a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, and Nokia Corporation, the world leader in mobile communications, today announced that they are deepening their collaboration by forming a strategic business alliance to develop modem technologies for HSPA+/LTE (Evolved High-Speed Packet Access / Long-Term Evolution) and its evolution.
As part of this alliance, the companies have entered into an agreement whereby Renesas Electronics is to acquire Nokia’s wireless modem business for approximately USD 200 million. The alliance is planned to be enhanced by long-term joint research cooperation on future radio technologies.
An interesting Samsung device leaked today, or at least a render of what is told to be the Galaxy S2. If you believe the rumor, this phone will be a little powerhouse.
Samsung Galaxy S2 rumored specs:
4.3” 1280x720px Super AMOLED 2 display
2GHz CPU, 1GB RAM/4GB ROM
32GB of built-in flash memory, +32GB microSD card slot
8 mpx camera with FullHD video recording
A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n
3.5mm audiojack
accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors
Take this information with a huge grain of salt. There are many things that sound off: Super AMOLED 2 with a resolution of 1280×720, 2GHz CPU (maybe dual-core 1GHz?) and FullHD video recording. I’m especially skeptic about the resolution of the screen, and the supposed FullHD video recording.
