Some of us were skeptical if the Opera Mini would ever be approved to the Apple App Store, but I can tell you that it is now available for download in the App Store.

When I just played around with it for a little while, I could clearly tell the difference in browsing speed. Browsing really is ‘lightning fast’. But, the zooming didn’t seem to work correct, or as I would expect it to work. Zooming in or out doesn’t work nearly as good as on Safari, and neither does the ‘tap to zoom’ feature. When I tap on an object that I want to look a little closer, it will normally be zoomed in either too close or too far away.

Personally I can’t yet change from Safari to Opera because of this really disturbing zoom issue. If they change it in a future release, I will reconsider this.

There’s a countdown going on at Nokia’s page here. The countdown will end in a little over 24 hours(at the time of writing this post of course). Mark from The Nokia Blog has managed to extract a few interesting bits from the countdown page, that can’t be seen to the naked eye.

The two images above could hint that Nokia will unveil the Cseries, and some kind of new messaging solution to it?

Stay tuned, since we’ll post more of this tomorrow!

Microsoft is rumored to launch two phones today called Turtle and Pure. Now they have confirmed this by showing an ad, where  you can actually see the phone that is rumored to be released! Nokia is pushing the marketing hype to new levels (on their part) with the Ovi Maps commercials. Here is the newest Ovi Maps commercial called “Got Away”.

phandroid has received an internal product launch hype email from Verizon Wireless. They think that this is about the HTC Incredible being released on Monday, but I think that it is Microsoft’s Project Pink that will be launched and headed to Verizon Wireless. The lines “It’s time to share” and “Let’s get social”, are the same lines that Microsoft used in their invitations for the Monday’s event.

This basically confirms that Microsoft will in fact launch the long rumored Project Pink phones Turtle and Pure.

Nokia just released a new firmware for three Eseries phones, the E63, E66 and E71. The new version is 410.21.010. This new version can be downloaded via the Nokia Software Update service.
