Google Chrome available for Nokia N900 – Install intructions inside

Now when we have a fully working and official Firefox for the Nokia N900, it’s time for Google Chrome to be ported to the N900. Actually, a user called Jacekowski has ported a 32-bit Debian version of the Google Chrome to the Nokia N900.

Actually, this port is running pretty well, with even support for Flash and a score of 100/100 on the Acid3 test. Check out the installing instructions after the break.

Download From this link HERE And here are the install instructions from :

  • This packages don’t work with app manager – you have to install them using dpkg in console
  • Chromium should work with libxss from extras-devel repo or libxss from here
  • Note: If you use extras-devel repo version you will have to use some –force when installing chromium )

Installing Through X-terminal in N900:

  1. Download both files in the above link to root directory in Nokia N900 then
  2. Type root then
  3. type cd /home/user/MyDocs/ dpkg -i name-of-the-lib-file.deb
