French and Italian Motorola Milestone users have started receiving the Android 2.0.1 update. Currently it is only available in those two countries, but the rest of Europe should follow shortly.

Motorola updated quite a lot in this update: including improvements to the camera autofocus and speed, added Microsoft Exchange support, touch gestures, three-way call connectivity and in-call audio quality, new equalizer, 3D landscape viewing mode for the photo gallery and music player.

A proof-of-concept video showing Nokia’s N900 booting first into Maemo 5, and after that into Android 1.6. The touchscreen doesn’t actually work on Android, but this is a fairly good start. Hit read more for the video.

The fring application for both Symbian and Android got today updated. The Symbian version is now 4.1, and Android version is 1.2.0.25. Full changelog after the break!


Ovi Maps version 3.03 will be released for the N97 on January 28th. This will come together with a firmware update, that you will have to install first. After the update, you will be able to install the new Ovi Maps version.


Nokia just uploaded a new beta version of the Nokia Ovi Suite 2.1. Hit read more for download instructions, and a changelog.


Square Enix is making iPhone versions of Final Fantasy (1) and II. No release dates are currently known. The game will be much like the one seen on the PSP, but with an updated camera view, new dungeons and redrawn graphics.
