Samsung is kicking it real good with their coming Android phones. Androphones.com has gotten info on Samsung Galaxy 2. One thing that you can say straight away about the Galaxy 2, is that it’s much more appealing to the eye than its predecessor. Actually, the phone resembles much the Nexus One.

Check out the rumored specs after the break.

Not exactly what this site is about, but here is the official Apple iPad video.

Developers can now access the iPhone SDK 3.2, and decide if you’re going to develop for the iPad or the iPhone. Software made specifically for the iPad does not work on the iPhone.

The Nokia N97 received its promised update of Ovi Maps 3.3 a day earlier. It is now available for download via the Nokia Software Update service on your N97. Another screen shot after the break.

Interesting new program that is in development inside closed doors at Nokia. The “thing” you can see in the video above, is a mobile radar, working on normal equipment found in today’s smart phones.

In the video shown below, you’ll see researcher Jani Ollikainen use his hand to adjust the music player’s volume, without ever touching the hardware. Even with an object in his way (like your pants pocket or even a wood door), the radar works without a hitch. In the second demo, you’ll see fellow researchers Terhi Rautiainen and Risto Kaunisto measure the distance, speed, and direction of a human walking.

Eldar Murtazin is on it again. This time his twitter account tells that he is currently playing with a HTC manufactured Windows Mobile 7 phone.

The phone will have a 1GHz CPU, 3.6″ screen with WVGA resolution, FM-radio, 5MP camera, compass, G-sensor and will run on Windows Mobile 7. A 1850 mAh battery will run the phone for only 6-7 hours. Suggests that Windows Mobile 7 is extremely power hungry. As you can see from the tweet, according to Eldar Murtazin, the phone will launch soon.

The Zune update that we wrote about yesterday, had references to a Zune Phone. Neowin asked a Microsoft spokesperson, who said that “we have no plans to create a Zune phone”. So there you have it, Zune Phone rumors are false.

So what are these Zune Phone references in the Zune.inf file? This could have something to do with Windows Mobile 7 and Zune being a part of the OS itself. These are of course just wild guesses, but we’ll most probably know more at MWC next month.

According to CNET, Microsoft will finalize the code for Windows Mobile 7 this summer. Microsoft will show a demo of the next big Windows Mobile OS at Mobile World Congress this February. Developers attending MIX 10 will get information about programming Windows Mobile 7.

There have been many rumors about Windows Mobile 7 missing its launch this year, and that it will be delayed till 2011. CNET now tells us that we will in fact see Windows Mobile 7 released this year.

Folks over at AllDroid has successfully squeezed a “little” more our of the Motorola Droid CPU, which normally runs at 600MHz. They’ve made it to run at 1.1GHz, but apparently not that smoothly. They found that 800MHz is enough for this thing to run at, without it being too energy hungry, or a crash test dummy.

The HTC Bravo has made another real world appearance, and this time it looks real. The phone will be a Nexus One -like phone, but with a optical pad instead of the trackball, and come with Sense UI customized Android 2.1.

Apart from this, it will have a 3.7″ AMOLED touch screen, 5MP camera and a Snapdragon (probably 1GHz) processor. So basically, this is a HTC Sense UI tuned Nexus One. And as you can maybe remember form the last leak, this little thing will most probably make it out to the store in April.

According to meteor.ie, the HTC Hero will get Android 2.1 by the end of March. Here is a quote from the forum administrator at meteor.ie:

Just got another update on this and HTC have said they are releasing 2.1 on the Hero and we are hoping to have this availible by the end of March.

This will be available via the HTC website and we are also looking at other ways to make this update easier to access for our customers. As soon as I hear any more on this I’ll let you all now becuase I know the release of 2.1 is something that everyone is looking forward to.

A few more screen shots after the break.
