HTC HD2 has a FM transmitter – only software needed to enable it?


Guys over at XDA-developers are discussing the possibility to enable the possible FM transmitter inside the HTC HD2. The reason why this could even be possible, is that the HTC HD2 uses a Broadcom BCM4329 chip to handle its Bluetooth and WiFi operations. This chip also has a FM transmitter built into it. As you can see in the circuit diagram above, it actually does have a FM Receiver/Transmitter. So now the only question is how to enable this feature?

Windows Mobile users have previously been lucky, since hackers have managed to enable previously unknown features on their devices, including GPS, screen resolutions, FM radios and hardware graphics acceleration. So, it could actually be possible to enable the FM transmitter on your beloved HTC HD2.
