Apple iPhone OS 4.0 features unveiled – We got multitasking!

BGR has gotten their hands on some juicy info on iPhone OS 4.0, that could possibly be released next week at Apple’s event. BGR is normally quite reliable in these kind of leaks, but take it with a small grain of salt.

Hit read more for the “changelog”.

  • OS-wide multi-touch gestures
  • “A few new ways” to run apps in the background – which can be translated into multitasking!
  • Many graphical and UI changes, that will make the overall OS even easier and more efficient to use
  • Update should be available to both 3G and 3GS users. According to the post on BGR, this will “put them ahead in the smartphone market because it will make them more like full-fledged computers” more than any other phone to date. Everyone is “really excited.”
  • There will be some new syncing ability for contacts and calendar applications

Now I’m waiting for the event next Wednesday!
