George Linardos said in an interview to Financial Times, that the Ovi Store will see a huge update in the coming spring. Nokia has now been working for a longer time to update to Ovi Store, so that it could compete with Apple’s App Store. The update should bring both stability and reliability to the store.
Currently the Ovi Store serves over 1 million applications every day, but is still lagging behind Apple’s correspondent which served over 2 billion downloads shortly after it’s first birthday. The Ovi Store has over 80 million active users.
A free app to access the extremely popular Internet Movie Database was released a few days ago. With the app you can quickly access information, watch trailers, photos and read reviews from IMDb. Their database has over 1.5million movies and TV shows, and over 3.2 million celebrities, so it’s quite possible that you also find something from there ;)
China Unicom announced today that they have sold over 100,000 iPhones since its launch. This is a good result when you think that they sold only 5,000 iPhones in the first 4 days.
Compare those numbers to what was sold in the U.S. during the first 30 hours, a whopping 270,000 iPhones.

Androidin has gotten info on a new Sony Ericsson called J10, or Susan. This will be a candybar phone that will run on Android. WiFi capabilities and a 5MP camera with AF + flash should be on board. The phone will be part of Sony Ericsson’s GreenHeart line, which means that the phone will be made out of eco-friendly materials and the packaging should be very small.
