Dynamic Controls have made the iPhone into a very impressive device. By using their software, a person is able to control their electric wheelchair with an iPhone. It is possible to dock the iPhone into the wheelchair for charging. There is also a feature that they call “Chair Doctor”, that can be used to diagnose possible malfunctions of the chair.

The application needs an iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch v2.0 or iPod Touch v3.0 to work properly.

There has been wild speculation about a possible Google branded phone coming in the next six months. This phone would be entirely designed by Google, and manufactured by HTC, LG or Samsung.

TechCrunch reports today reported that the phone will most probably be VoIP only. You would of course be able to receive and make calls just like normally, they would just be transferred via the cellular data network. This sounds to me like a possible ‘next move’ for Google. The phone would be tied to Google Voice, which already today is capable to handle normal phone numbers.
