Spotify now also available for Symbian phones

symbian4Soptify today told on their blog that the highly popular service is now available also to Symbian phones. The application doesn’t support all Symbian phones, but you can check  compatibility by visiting http://m.spotify.com/ with your phone.

I’d say this is good news for Spotify users, but a very bad thing for Nokia’s Comes With Music service. Nokia’s service costs ~130€ a year, and spotify can be bought with 9.99€ a month. So basically they cost the same, but for most people a monthly plan is much better than a yearly payment.

The application is now available to all three main platforms, Symbian, Android and the iPhone OS. So far there is no word on a possible Maemo support.
