Android will beat iPhone OS by 2012?

Research firm Gartner predicts that Android will beat the iPhone OS in popularity amongst smartphones by 2014. They predict that Symbian will continue as number one with a share of 39%, Android will come in second with a share of 14%, and iPhone will come in third place with a share of 13.7%.

That remains to be seen, but good luck to all the contestants :)
