iphone3gs

According to a Finnish news site, Iltalehti.fi, Apple is still having problems to deliver the new iPhone 3GS.

Ahti Martikainen, who is the Press Manager of a local carrier TeliaSonera has given Iltalehti a statement, that if you order your iPhone 3GS today, the worst case scenario is that you receive it after 8 weeks. So if you order your iPhone 3GS now, you could consider yourself lucky if you receive it in the beginning of November!

Ahti Martikainen said that this is a global problem, and other small countries like Sweden and Denmark have the same problem.

Normally if you’d have to wait for your phone for 8 weeks, you would cancel your order. This isn’t the case with the iPhone. Martikainen said that not that many cancellations have been made, and customers are willing to wait 8 weeks to get their phone.

HTC-Leo

Now this 4.3″ device has three possible names, Leo, HD2 or PRO.THREE. We’ve called the device HTC Leo for a longer time now, but the HD2 comes from the device ID when you connect it via Bluetooth.  If you check the images after the break, you’ll see that the HTC PRO.THREE name is printed on the back of the device.

Maemo5GUI

The developers received yesterday docs about how their applications should start to look like when developing for Maemo 5.

Thinking of creating an app or widget for the Nokia N900? The official Maemo 5 User Interface docs are now at forum.nokia.com detailing usability principles, device orientation, controls, icons, dialogs, etc. There is also a GUI design interface template in PSD format, so User Interface / Experience designers out there can start mocking up apps.

Check out the review of this massive beast after the break!

In the video you can see that the LG Chocolate BL20 will come with a 5MP camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens. The phone will be running on LG’s S-class 3D UI, support 3G and have widgets. There will also be a Text Scan feature, for taking sharper pictures of written text. This feature will not be a OCR(sort of image to text converter), just a sharp picture.

Guess the release is just around the door when they release promotional videos like this.

Yesterday I posted the following post, Phil Schiller rejected the Google Voice app for the iPhone, and today I wake up to see that Apple has responded with the following letter:

“We do not agree with all of the statements made by Google in their FCC letter. Apple has not rejected the Google Voice application and we continue to discuss it with Google.”

Guess the fight still continues! I’m sure this one will continue next week :)
