We today reported that the TomTom Car Kit was released in the Apple Online Store with a price tag of 99.95€. The store page was soon after that taken down. The weird part was that the product page stated that the iPhone application would also be included in the package.
Now TomTom has released a statement that the application will not be included. So the total price jumped from almost 100€ to nearly 200€ in a few hours.

The Nokia Ovi Store now supports re-downloading of once purchased content.
For this to work, you’ll need the Ovi Store Client version 1.05 build 271 or newer. Everything is tied to your account. If you buy something using your account, you’ll also be able to re-download it later on with that same account. This will also work if you for instance upgrade your phone.
At the moment this doesn’t work with every app that is out there. But I guess that the Ovi Store team will also apply it to other apps in the store.

This has nothing to do with mobile phones, but I still think this is worth seeing. The video shows Google’s unreleased operating system, the Chrome OS. Chrome OS was designed to work mainly on netbooks and tablets. Seems like a pretty decent OS so far.
Check out the video after the break!
UPDATE: Apparently this video is a fake. Sorry :)

Out goes the HTC Leo name, and in comes the HTC HD2 which will be this phone’s official name.
Engadget has an anonymous tipster who tells that the HTC HD2 will be released on October 12th in the United Kingdom. The leak comes from O2′s intranet, so my guess is that this is the correct day.

Microsoft’s secret project called Pink, has long been kept in the shadows. Gizmondo today published more info of this project. We already knew that it will be a mobile phone project, and the devices would be manufactured by Sharp and branded with both companies logos. Now we got the pictures!

The guys over at Fonearena have made a short hands on video on the new Nokia X6. This phone will be Nokia’s first attempt at a phone with a capacitive touch screen. From the video you can see how it affects the end user, by making things much more smoother and user friendly.
Read our previous posts about the X6 here. Also, don’t forget to check the video after the break!
