It's official, China Unicom will bring the iPhone to China

China Unicom announced today, as expected, the deal with Apple. They made a 3-year contract on selling iPhones in China. The pricing of the phone is yet to be announced.

This is big news since China Unicom is the worlds largest operator. The rumors that circled the web a few weeks ago stated, that the deal was about 5 million iPhones. I guess we’ll see whether or not that many iPhones will be sold. They could sell way more than 5 million, or then again it could be a huge let-down just like Russia and India was.

The iPhone will be available in China in Q4.
